Location ……

We live in Santa Maria in Stelle, a small village on Verona’s hills, towards the north, 7 km far from the town.
You can reach the city in 10 minutes driving or 20 minutes cycling (there is a cycling track that starts near  our house), unfortunatly there are not so many public transports available (the bus doesn’t pass so often).
From our house you can have beautiful walks on hills around our village (450 m hight) or visit a IV century b. C. paleochristian hypogeum.
From S.Maria in Stelle you can easily go to Verona (since 2000 Verona is one of the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES in Italy), have trips to the Monti Lessini and Monte Baldo, sunbathe by the lake of Garda, have fun in Gardaland (the largest amusment park in Italy).
Other cities rich in monuments, museums, history, culture, (and perfect for shopping!) like Venice, Mantua, Bologna, Vicenza, Padua, Trento and Milan, can easly be reach by train.
Reach the Dolomites takes just 1 our driving from here, even closer is the Altipiano di Asiago (higlands north of Vicenza) perfect for excursions, trekking, climbing, and skiing. The Adriatic coast, for swimming or having fun, is also close.

How to get here…….

It is a very easy and fast! (GoogleMaps)

From North (Brenner), East (Venice or Trieste), South (Bologna or Florence) and West (Milan or Turin), reach the“A4” highway.
Leave the highway at the “VERONA EST” exit, than follow “VALPANTENA” signs for 7-8 km.
At the junction you turn right for “Boscochiesanuova” and go straight for the next 3 Km.
Just after “Veronesi” feed factory and an “Agip” petrol pump turn left, than turn right at the round-about, following the “Santa Maria in Stelle” sign.
At the next crossroad you turn right then take the first road on left. Park the car in the parking area and ring at Mr. Fenzi - Mrs Puttini bell, the 76/c of Pantheon street.

What we whis....

Home exchange, through relationships with families of different countries directly into their houses, give us the possibility to live travel experiences together with our children.
We found this way of traveling much more involving as
“an home speaks about people living in and the region where it is built”.
During exchanges we try to take the opportunity to do what we love the most:

visiting towns and villages, if it’s possible by bike, and reading a good book in the evening.

Moreover we love to go to the mountains: we have a good experience of challenging excursions, trekking, and climbing.
In winter we like to do Nordic skiing or to climb up snowy gullies .

In summertime we like going to sea on free beaches without services and snorkeling or reading a book in the sun. Our sons Luca e Pietro go boating with a river kayak.

In he last few years we have been organizing with other families, a sort of “self catering common holidays”, every year in a different place around the country, that let us develop relationships among families and spend time together with our children.
With firm belif, we take part to peace and solidarity initiatives.

Welcome!!

Our House…….is a large built flat equipped with all comforts with a wide mansard on the 1st floor. It lies in a quiet hilly area, among vineyards and olive trees, 7 km from the center of Verona. The house accommodates 3 other flats lived by quite and helpful friends.

At the first floor there is a wide living room with balcony, an equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwaves oven) fitted for six people with a balcony (when the weather is nice it’s possible to have meals outside, under the awning), two  double room with balcony, a bath with tub, a laundry (with iron, washing machine and dryer).
In the mansard there is a spacious bedroom (double room) with  PC , a bathroom with shower, a relax area equipped with  TV  with comfortable sofa ad library.

Outside there is a 30 meters squared private garden accessible from entrance, a private garage where you can find 2 mountains bikes and 2 road bicycles (when we don't use them) and the equipment for mountain excursions.

Our home is in a cul-de-sac: there is a comfortable parking area in front of the house and there’s no traffic. The house is part of a residence with a reserved common area for sports and spare times (basket ball, volley ball, children play area, garden, …)
